The Diamond Grip was created to build the tendons and ligaments in your fingers and make them resilient and ready for action. In my grip career the majority of my grip strength came from swinging things. Another major part of my grip training is gripping unique shapes. I would attribute this with my ability to close a COC #3 with very little actual gripper work. Unique shapes such as burger shapes, spheres work the hand and fingers that carry over to other areas. My New Diamond shape is another fun discovery that lets you walk around the shape using different combos of fingers and thumb that you can explore various positions with lighter weights for dexterity or heavier loads for tendon and ligament building.
