The Tactical loadable sledgehammer is crafted with the finest metal, has a 1.5" diameter handle with grip grooves for a positively smashing experience, a 2" sphere on handle end that provides a secure and smooth grip. The head is a 4" square, 1/4" heavy walled tube, the Tactical weighs 16 lbs empty and can be loaded with steel shot up to 32 lbs, with lead shot approx 45 lbs. You load the Tactical by removing one of the end caps cover, and using the large 1-1/2" hole to load and unload quickly. Warrior training at its finest. When you get a grip on the Tactical, you will have a primal reflex to let out a guttural roar and get smashing.

Ryan's tactical hammer is top notch! I also have Rogue's Sisu hammer, but the tactical hammer is even higher quality! The welds, quality pommel, grip, and finishing is great. Ryan also has great communication and stands behind his products. I'm using it unloaded right now, but when I'm ready to level up, sand or shot will make this thing a beast!
I have a 16lb smooth grip, fat, oval handled, big pommel sledge that Ryan made for me a number of years ago. It’s AWESOME but wanted something less grip dependent for longer sets. The tactical sledge fits the bill: grippier, standard thickness, round handle and lighter at 13lbs - perfect. I like the old one for overhead strikes and the new one for diagonal. Variety is the spice of life. Turnaround on my order was lightning fast which was greatly appreciated.

So not my first order with StrongerGrip. I'm fortunate enough to have a few pieces of Ryan's genius fabrication in my strength and conditioning arsenal. That said, this might be crowing jewel of the collection, (of at least until the next piece arrives, lol). Let's focus on the this piece. The tactical sledge is an amazing piece. It's functionality is on par with any mace but it's a bespoke piece that captures the savage soul, that makes it a must have. This piece is a titan of functional art, I can't recommend enough, ordering from Ryan. He's a great collaborator, so if you have an idea or modification request he'll discuss the pro/con with you to ensure you're satisfied with the results. I know I used the word before and this isn't one associated with, functional strength equipment, but each piece is bespoke, and crafted individually, for use. I could fanboy out here more but, seriously highly recommend the tactical sledge and several other of Ryan's masterpiece creations.

Hammer is absolutely great! The welds are top notch and the grip is great. Handles very easily. Haven't loaded it yet, but will add sand or shot when I'm ready to level up.
The sledge is awesome! I put 10 lbs of steel shot in and it seems like it filled up maybe 3/4 of the head of the sledge. For right now swinging 25 lbs is good for me, but I might fill up the rest after a bit and see how heavy I can get it. It is super easy to open and even came with the tool to do so. Also the handle is shaped and knurled in such a way that I feel supremely confident wielding it. It fits right into my hand and doesn't slip or move at all once I've gripped it.

This is a great sledge hammer! Well balanced and a good weight, even without adding any shot. I have a couple of sledges that Ryan made for me awhile back, may be 12-15 years ago? The old ones are nice, but this sledge is in a whole new class — Handle grip added and better placement for adding shot. Ryan is continually improving his products — Keep up the excellent work sir!
